Adding to our range of Westfield specific carbon fibre kit-car components is our moulded Carbon Fibre Dashboard for Wide Bodied Westfields. This dashboard has been designed specifically to fit the interior of wide-bodied Westfields and includes the distinctive 'ears' to blend the dash into the car's interior.
2/2 twill carbon fibre is used for the whole surface of the dashboard (including the rolled bottom edge) giving the dashboard the unmistakable appearance of real carbon fibre.
In common with all our kit-car panels, the Carbon Fibre Dashboard for Wide Bodied Westfields is supplied with a high gloss finish.
Cutting and Shaping
Cutting and shaping the dashboard blank can be done using conventional tools but as always for the very best results we would recommend specialist Perma-Grit tools, especially the needle files and rotary discs for cutting switch and dial apertures.
Dimensions
Although this dashboard follows the exact shape and dimensions of the original Westfield aluminium dashboard we understand that IVA examiners would require a rigid dash (like this) to have a 180 degree radius on the bottom and as such this dash is not suitable for cars not yet IVA'd or would need modifying appropriatly to pass IVA.
