Adding to our range of Westfield specific carbon fibre kit-car components is our moulded Carbon Fibre Dashboard for Wide Bodied Westfields. This dashboard has been designed specifically to fit the interior of wide-bodied Westfields and includes the distinctive 'ears' to blend the dash into the car's interior.
Manufactured using our unique Air-Core sandwich panel technology, the Carbon Mods Dashboard Blank offers unparalleled stiffness and significant weight savings over solid core dashboards.
Genuine 2/2 twill, 3k carbon fibre is used for the whole surface of the dashboard (including the rolled bottom edge) giving the dashboard the unmistakable appearance of real carbon fibre. A 3mm foam core and high performance woven E Glass inner skin provide thickness and stiffness to the panel for the minimum weight possible.
In common with all our kit-car panels, the Carbon Fibre Dashboard for Wide Bodied Westfields is supplied with a high gloss finish.
Cutting and Shaping
Cutting and shaping the dashboard blank can be done using conventional tools (the sandwich panel is in fact easier to cut that a solid composite) but as always for the very best results we would recommend specialist Perma-Grit tools, especially the needle files and rotary discs for cutting switch and dial apertures.
