Product Description

Large 1kg pack of black carbon fibre epoxy basecoat and hardener for use use when skinning products in carbon fibre. Our basecoat is formulated to provide an intense black background for the subsequent layer of carbon fibre and will have a tacky surface during its curing cycle onto which the carbon fabric will stick.

The 1kg pack includes 333g of hardener and 666g of black epoxy basecoat.

This is the same carbon fibre skinning basecoat that that is included in our carbon fibre skinning starter kit.

hi,if i only have the clear resin left,can i then have som colour in to make it black,and what type of colour shoud i use then??paint??
Carbon Mods Reply: Don't use paint, it will ruin the resin. The basecoat resin is actually different from the topcoat but using a PU (Polyurethane) pigment paste in the clear will give you a similar material.

Hello, I want to buy the Carbon Skinning Base-Coat - 1kg Pack! I watch your "How to ..." clips on youtube.com and read the "Product Description",but I don,t see nothing about the Clear Resin!!! Well,I think the Clear resin is NOT included in the pack, so how much does it cost and how much have to buy for my bonet!
Carbon Mods Reply: You need to be looking at our Carbon Fibre Skinning Kit (this is just the basecoat to buy separately). Have a look in the Carbon Fibre Kits section. You'll need the Large version of the kit for a bonnet.
