Product Description
Bumper canards (sometimes known as dive plates) are designed to increase frontal down-force during high speed cornering giving a better rate of turn-in and increased stability. Carbon Mods bumper canards are incredibly light-weight and are easily mounted to any bumper using only basic tools, a full fitting kit is supplied.
With an integrated 35 degree closing upturn these canards boast optimum aerodynamic performance at minimal weight.
These are the only real carbon fibre bumper canards to feature a fully bespoke moulded component and are the lightest on the market at 18.3g for the small canard*.
The bumper canards are also available in a set of 2 smaller canards or a complete set of 4 (2 large and 2 small) canards, to suit your application.
How to Fit
The canards are 'universal' and will fit the vast majority of vehicles. They come pre-drilled and supplied with a set of 4 'Rawl' bolts which allows them to be easily fitted without needing to access the rear side of the bumper. The only tools required are a drill and a hex (allen) key. The canards can typically be installed by one person in about 30 minutes.
When you are happy with the alignment on the canards, use the pre-drilled holes to mark the centres of the drilling points in the bumper. Once the holes are drilled, you simple push the canard's rubber Rawl bolts into the holes and then tighten the bolt. The Rawl bolts will expand to provide a strong, vibration resistant fixing which can be easily be removed and re-fitted without needing to access the inside of the bumper (perfect for trackside trimming of your front downforce).
Try downloading and printing out the fitting template (towards the bottom of this page) to check the suitability of the canards for your vehicle.
- Easy to fit rawl bolt mounting system included
- Upturns are integrated into moulding for extra strength / reduced weight
- Conform to FIA regulations (subject to correct fitting)
- UV, temperature and chemical resistant
- Individual wings are available as replacements
Print-out Template
Click here to download a printable template of both our canard sizes so that you can offer them up to your vehicle to check for a good fit.
The template includes one large and one small canard, if you only wish to buy the smaller size then you only need to cut out and try the smaller canard.
Print the template on thick paper or card and then cut out the canard with scissors. Aim to find a position on your front bumper/spoiler where the inner curve of the canard fits the curve of your bumper. The canard should not extend beyond the outside bodyline of your vehicle (for safety reasons) and can be angled such to provide the right amount of downforce for your application.
