The C-FLEX material that the mud-flaps are made from is a flexible carbon fibre composite that is highly resistant to chemicals, high temperatures and U.V. light. C-FLEX is also extremely durable with a gloss surface finish that is almost un-scratchable in regular use.
How flexible is the material?
C-FLEX is a very flexible material, developed to be just slightly stiffer than conventional PVC mud-flaps allowing it to absorb the impact of road debris (thus reducing the chances of stone-chips to your car) whilst holding its shape and not flapping around.
The material is flexible enough to be doubled back on its self and will not break or fracture under any such circumstances. It has a high surface gloss which feels ever so slightly rubbery.
What is the difference between mini mud flaps and mud flaps?
Whilst full mud-flaps provide the best level of protection from road-dirt and debris, they do give your vehicle a rally look and can be overkill on cars that are rarely on muddy roads.
