High-performance polishing compound designed specifically for use with carbon fibre and GRP composites.
This is the same polishing compound that is included with some of our carbon fibre starter kits and is perfect for taking a mould or a part's surface finish from 1000 or 1200 grit wet and dry abrasive paper up to a high gloss surface finish.
Unlike conventional auto-polishing compounds, which are generally intended for polishing paintwork, this composites polishing compound is designed specifically for use with composites and will provide the fastest and most effective means to bring your patterns, moulds or parts up to a high gloss finish.
As with any process when preparing a mould, care should be taken to remove all traces of the polishing compound before release agents (wax, chemical, or PVA) are applied so prevent any contamination of the release agent. Soapy water and then clean water are suitable for this purpose (before drying thoroughly).
This composites polishing compound is suitable for use either by hand polishing or using a polishing machine.
